Project: “Not Another Pit Stop.” Book cover design plus spot illustrations
Client: Authors Julian Gerard and Pip Greasley
I was commissioned to create a book cover and illustrations for a fantastic book on the life and times of the racing driver Bob Gerard, “The Boffin”, as seen through the eyes of his nephew Julian. The book is split into two sections; the first as seen through Julian’s eyes at the age of 77 and 7/8ths and the second through Julian’s eyes when he was a little boy aged 7 and 7/8ths. The illustrations are borne from the hilarious musings and memories of big Julian and little Julian and the whole thing has been liberally embellished by Pip Greasley. What a pleasure to work on.
