Santo and Seagull

Laura took a CelAction2D Rigging and Animation course and animated a couple of her creations, Santo and Seagull. They were designed in TVPaint and Photoshop and rigged and animated in CelAction2D.

Visual development using icons to explore the relationship and characteristics of the two characters

Seagull was created as a comedic foil to Santo. Seagulls are intelligent scavengers, however, this seagull is a little less wiley, probably due to brain freeze

An uncomplicated rig as the character is forward facing. It was useful to explore facial expressions and how the arms would move with the stripy texture

This little character is a feisty child with a fascination of all things pirate. Whilst playing on a beach, he draws the attention of a seagull
